I wanted to make sure everyone knows that D Wing at RMS was not sitting empty. We had seven classrooms being used. We have moved seven teachers into traveling Unified Arts teachers, which then allows D wing classrooms to take over those classrooms. So, RMS is in the midst of that double switch.
I was curious about other things too like what about a nurse for both locations? and what about guidance councilors? I know gonic usually has one of each onsite will they be staying? and will the kids at RMS have access to the same?
We will have nursing services at both locations. We will finalize the plans by Wednesday. Guidance schedules we are still working on.
Since gonic school will be probably closed all this week please provide resources to assist my child with academics to avoid regression. How will this effect our children with not receiving the education and assistance they need on a daily basis?
There are several good ways to keep students engaged during this time out of school.
Reading a book is a great start. Accelerated Reader can be accessed from the Gonic website: Another link with lots of resources: https://sites.google.com/a/sau54.org/elementarylibrary/reading I am sorry but the Accelerated Reader site only allows access from school computers.
IXL Math Program is a great resource http://rochesterschools.com/Gonic/index.html
Has Tues been officially called off?
Just announced closing for tomorrow.
